  • Snapchat has 100 million daily users and 7 billion daily page views which means it is one of the top social media channels.
  • The question posed is how do you use it to showcase your own product or service?
  • Sometimes it’s a lot more fun to watch marketing in action than to read about it
  • This list showcases 50 snapchat gurus, their industry and how they market

I followed every guru and watched their snaps.  The similar theme amongst all of them is they show personality.  The days of perfection are long gone and millennials embrace natural personality and style.  They want to see brands with realness.

My last question is how do I get a hold of the new snap glasses to free up my hands and make recording videos more convenient???

The courting phase

  • With so much digital content at our fingertips, it’s hard to capture AND keep viewer attention.
  • VIDEO CONTENT can harness their attention because it connects on all fronts of  motion, sound, and sight.

Data is like Dating

  • Data gives brands an opportunity to understand our passions, preferred times of the day and learn about the needs of their audience.
  • Brands that pay attention to how people use their products allows them to solve consumer problems.

The connection

  • The best way to spend more time in the hands of the audience is through mobile devices. Mobile ability keeps people happy.

Keep it interesting

  • Every relationship needs to evolve to avoid being stagnant.  The same goes for branding.  Do you want to marry someone that grows old with you or grows apart from you?  Feedback is important to keep each other fulfilled.

Building relationships are the key to successful marketing.  How will I continue to build mine?

Branding with Virtual Reality

  • Virtual reality is the next big thing.  Google and other media companies are investing large amounts on VR.
  • How should marketers plan ahead for this technology breakthrough?
  • VR allows the ability to zoom in and experience branded content while viewing a story and then return to the main storyline.
  • Since viewers have the option to choose how in-depth they want to explore this interactive content 30-second ads will not be efficient.
  • Video ads with captivating, immersive stories are necessary.
  • Marketers that can create the best user experience will end up on top.
What classes do I need to take to start building these skills?  Creative writing?  Story-telling?  Video Design?
